Pikmin 4 Updates (Decor Pikmin)

Updated · 1 min read

On November 11, 2025, Nintendo published that a free update for Pikmin 4 was available, adding content for new and returning players.

Headline features (Nintendo)

Decor Pikmin

Outfit-wearing Pikmin inspired by Pikmin Bloom. Gather them in Pikmin 4 and optionally transfer discoveries to the Bloom app (same Nintendo Account; internet/smart device required; Bloom has its own free-to-start terms).

Field Camera

Snap photos of your explorer, squad, and scenes; decorate with filters, frames, and stamps. Nintendo hints the camera is key to adding Decor Pikmin. Patch notes reported elsewhere state the camera appears on the morning of day 2 (or next morning at the Command Post for older saves).

Creature Activity Levels

  • Relaxed — creatures won’t attack unless you attack them
  • Normal — default
  • Fierce — higher challenge

Change anytime via Settings in Options (Minus Button).

How to update

Nintendo: highlight the game on the HOME Menu → + Button → Software Update (internet required).

Looking ahead

  • 2026-11-02 — Switch 2 Edition demo live: free Download demo on the eShop Switch 2 Edition page. Details in the Demo guide.
  • Separate from this free patch, the Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy (November 12, 2026) adds paid upgrade features. See Switch 2 Edition.
