Pikmin 4 Demo

Updated · 3 min read

The free Nintendo eShop demos are the safest way to learn Pikmin 4’s controls and day structure before buying. There are separate listings for the original Switch game and the Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy.

Original Switch demo (Nintendo eShop)

  • Download from the Pikmin 4 eShop page.
  • Transfer save data to the full game after purchase.
  • Completing the demo can unlock a Pikmin Bloom reward code (Oatchi-Rider costume) via My Nintendo — eligibility requires a Nintendo Account with registered play activity; codes can take days to show. Follow Nintendo’s linked reward instructions.
  • Free-update features (Decor Pikmin tools, Creature Activity Levels) were also distributed to the demo per November 2025 patch reporting; Nintendo notes the demo cannot link to Pikmin Bloom the same way the full game can for Decor transfers.

Switch 2 Edition demo (live)

As of about November 2, 2026, the Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy eShop page shows a Download demo action. Treat this edition demo as separate from the original Switch demo listing.

What’s in the Switch 2 demo

Cross-checked reporting (Nintendo Life, GoNintendo; third-party, not official):

  • Opening area Sun-Speckled Terrace
  • Two Dandori Academy stages
  • Save data can transfer to the full Switch 2 Edition (launches November 12, 2026)

Official Pikmin Bloom demo rewards

The official Pikmin Bloom campaign page confirms the product includes a demo and lists demo-linked rewards:

  • Complete the demo → reward
  • Take a Dandori Academy exam in the demo — Elementary A Mushroom Mash or Elementary B Treat Transport (practice does not count)
  • You must tap Send to upload data to Bloom; use the same Nintendo Account
  • These demo rewards are the same as the full game’s first viewing of Day 2 (or later) Story Mode settlement rewards — if you already claimed them, you cannot claim again
